Created my own Virtual Classroom
This classroom is aesthetically but also educationally responsive in many ways. I included color which is the point of interest of most younger students. I also wanted the classroom to be comfortable instead of structured like a traditional classroom. This is why I included a couch, table, and lounge furniture. During the transition from first to second grade, students are aware of their ABCs, numbers and are learning to tell time, which I made sure to reiterate in the classroom. I also added the facial expressions to the board so we can see the mental health of each student and how their day is going before class starts. Also, I included a checklist which is basically the learning objectives of the class. I think mental health is an important aspect of learning at any level. I also added a arts and craft section, which is a way students will express themselves during their free time. We also have an emotional support dog!
I tried to make the classroom as friendly and comfortable as possible. This was actually a fun project, decorating a vision and watching it come to life was a great experience.
